How does a school implement proficiency with an eye toward sustainable change? The Oregon Department of Education is supporting development of four demonstration sites that are implementing proficiency to increase student achievement and improve teacher effectiveness. Administrators and teachers will provide insights on what they hope to accomplish; and how they are approaching changes to policy and systemic practice, as well as engagement with stakeholder groups and classroom interaction.
